There are 124,519 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the world as of March 12, 2020, according to the World Health Organization. 80,980 of these cases are from China, the center of the outbreak, while 12,462 are from Italy.
In China, around 80% of the cases have recovered. Its national health commission said that the country has passed its peak epidemic.
